Preface

At the end of the day, all we really want to do is sell books (and possibly associated merch) to people that enjoy our writing, and to build that community. That’s it really. Our goals are to:

  • Find readers who enjoy our work enough to spend their hard-earned money on it.

  • Communicate with our readers and get to know them.

  • Be able to support ourselves financially with our writing, which would then mean we can write yet more books in a happy little feedback loop.

To make these things happen we need a website, a newsletter, and links to shops and social media. In short, all the usual author stuff. We also have far-off dreams of an online shop on our website selling trinket plushies too. (We’re all allowed to dream!)

In order to have the above things, we encounter the inevitable issue of collecting information from people who indicate they like our writing and want to know more about what’s going on in our world. E.g. When we’re actually going to make trinket plushies a reality. So in order for people to be added to our mailing list, or to buy things from us etc. with peace of mind, we need to tell you how we’ll use your data.

We can very definitely assure you that as full-time authors running our own publishing business, we have absolutely no interest in hoarding or selling the data of others. Our time is far better spent writing more books and yes, thinking of trinket plushie designs.

However, we also understand that it’s very important to have a proper Privacy Policy that lays out how we use and store your data in much more formal language, taking into account things like GDPR etc.
